Seit über zehn Jahren führt der Aktionstag „Türen auf mit der Maus“ Kinder bundesweit hinter die Kulissen von Unternehmen, Universitäten und Forschungslaboren. Heuer ist auch die Julius-Maximilians-Universität (JMU) Würzburg mit dabei: Am 3. Oktober gibt es spannende Mitmachangebote aus der Mathematik, der Mikrobiologie und der Physik.
Unter dem Jahresmotto „SpielZeit“ sind Kinder dazu eingeladen, selbst zu experimentieren, zu knobeln und Wissenschaft hautnah zu erleben.

Zusammenfassung Phagen sind Viren, die Bakterien befallen. Im Kampf gegen antibiotikaresistente Krankheitserreger könnte ein therapeutischer Einsatz von Phagen äußerst nützlich sein. Doch sind die molekularen Interaktionen zwischen Phagen und Wirtsbakterien bislang nicht hinreichend verstanden.

aau/MüllerGilbert Tanner is part of the SAPIENCE team at the University of Klagenfurt, a group consisting of six young students and researchers who are working on new approaches to the use of drones in search and rescue operations. However, the student, who is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Robotics & Artificial Intelligence, is not only launching drones into the air, but also striving for lofty goals himself: he will soon complete his studies in the shortest possible time and will then move on to pursue a Master’s degree programme at ETH Zurich.
